What is quality of life?

QCTimes.com printed an excellent essay that my hubby wrote about why we live on the East Coast and not in Iowa (where he is from originally).

I lived in a small town growing up and hated everything about it. I don't ever want to live in a small town again. Before we married, we had a discussion about my feelings. Craig couldn't quite understand my point of view at the time but he has since formed his own idea of why he wouldn't want to go back to that way of life.
