Carolina Journal Exclusive: Edwards Home County's Largest
OK, great. Drudge links to this article saying something like "Two Americas." I believe the whole point of this John Edwards saying is to point out that there is too much wealth disparity in this country. It is not to say that no one (including himself) that works hard and earns a lot of money shouldn't enjoy it, but to make that amount of wealth or at least comfort available to many more poeple than it is right now.
Just as an aside, Elizabeth Edwards blogged today challenging all Americans to be more energy-efficient. This new house is "Energy-Star rated. Energy Star is an EPA regulated designation for homes that are at least 30 percent more efficient than the national Model Energy Code." She also writes that is was somewhat expensive to do this but they wanted to be resonsible. So I say, kudos to them!

I certainly do not begrudge beautiful homes or comfortable lifestyles to those who work hard for their money, which John Edwards and his wife have done. In fact, they did not have to go the extra step (and expense) to make their home more environventally friendly but did. I say more power to them.
