Buckeyes

My beloved Buckeyes are playing for the national Title on Monday. I've often wondered how the tradition of putting Buckeyes on the players helmets for good deeds began. This year Ted Ginn, Jr. leads the team with the most this year.

"The familiar helmet stickers featuring a cluster of five buckeye leaves are awarded for accomplishments on the field, in a tradition that Ohio State pioneered in 1968. Ginn's headgear is plastered with 99 decals."
