In its story "Satellite cured the radio star," Yahoo! News speaks to the rise of satellite radio in recent years. Why pay for radio? Well, I bet people asked that about TV 20 years ago, too!
We recently got XM. We took the leap because we got the receiver free in a special promotion and thought we'd give it a try. We're hooked! We have it set up so that any radio receiver set to a certain channel will pick up the XM content when the receiver is on. That way we can use the service in both our home and our car. It is so nice to be able to listen to sports and news in the car and have no commercials on music we want to listen to. There are many other neat features, too! The best part might be the ability to see who is singing the song and the name of the song. It's worth a try, if you have any interest at all!
