Yahoo! News is reporting on my state's attempt to make Wal-Mart give health insurance to tehir employees. Of course, my esteemed Gov. vetoed the bill, but the Legislature has over ruled him.
I have somewhat mixed feelings on this. I am no fan of Wal-Mart, that's for sure, but I must admit I shop there from time to time because their prices can't be beat. I do hate the reason for this, though, including the issue at hand.
I can see the point that the GOPer's have about not working there if you don't want to, but that doesn't give Wal-Mart a license to take advantage of their employees and give them inadaquete health care coverage.
